A Jot Javelina Jundred

ICECOT supports NTREW at a hot Javelina Jundred
ICECOT travels to Fountain Hills, AZ to support fellow Nomad Trail Runners of Eastern Washington at a very hot Javelina Jundred.

A crew of 9 runners from eastern Washington made the long trek down to Arizona to compete in the fall ultramarathon classic, the Javelina Jundred. Despite taking place around Halloween, runners on the exposed course regularly see temperatures above 90F. This year was no exception, with highs around 95F under sunny skies, and temperatures likely hotter in the canyons along the course. We were there to crew, pace and keep our friends cool with ICECOTs for the duration of the race.

Congratulations to our ICECOT athletes who endured the brutal conditions. We're so excited to be a part of so many huge accomplishments made possible by the ICECOT. Here's a sampling of the praise we received.

"Such a HOT race!!! ICECOT is the best product out there!!! Yesterday was my 115th race. Marathon or greater distance. I have run many in the heat this saved me big time!!!! Would not have made it without it! Thank you!!!" — Hope F., West Richland, WA.

"Yesterday, I ran my 12th 100 mile race. Javelina Jundred proved to be a brute. The relentless heat in the Arizona desert made things interesting. Absolutely zero shade. I'm not sure what the drop-out rate was, but I witnessed carnage at every aid station. I managed to pull it off and finish "strong" after 25 hours of continuous movement. Huge thanks to [ICECOT]. Game-changer!" — Matt N., Kennewick, WA.
